JCB & Sons
Apparel, Business Cards, Website, Vehicle Wrap & More
About the Project
JCB & Sons are licensed carpenters based out of West Grey, ON. Since 1988, they have been building homes and servicing Southwestern Ontario (and beyond) bringing true craftsmanship to every project they touch. These guys are the real deal.
Christian Bender, Owner & Lead Carpenter, reached out to me about updating the graphics on his vehicle wrap. Once we’d nailed down that project, we quickly progressed to his website, which led to business cards, and finally apparel.
On every leg of this project, it has been an absolute joy to work with Christian & the team. Learning more about all the extra miles they go for the benefit of their customers has been inspiring for me personally with the Dog House. Enjoy taking a quick gander through some of the work we collaborated on.
And, if you’re in their vicinity and need work done on your home, there’s hardly anyone better I can recommend. Check out their website for more info: https://jcbandsons.com/
Apparel Graphics • Round 1
Round 1 involved designing a bunch of badge-inspired logos that made the JCB & Sons brand the primary design element. This became the basis of the final iteration.

Apparel Graphics • Round 2
After some discussion, Christian and I decided on incorporating some less traditional carpentry tools (like a handplaner and a square, as opposed to a saw or hammer) into some of the previous designs I’d worked on. Here’s where we ended up.
Apparel in Context
And here are the designs printed on a bunch of apparel. So happy with how these turned out.
